What Fuel Should I Use for My Yamaha Outboard?

How do I break in a new Yamaha outboard?

Keep engine speed under half throttle (roughly 3,000 RPM).

⏱ Second Hour (1–2 Hours):
Increase engine speed slightly, but do not exceed three-quarters throttle.
You may use brief bursts (less than 5 seconds) of full throttle if needed.
⏱ Next 8 Hours (2–10 Hours):
Operate at varied throttle levels, including short runs at full throttle (no more than 5 minutes at a time).
Avoid constant speed or RPM for long periods.
After the first 10 hours, you can operate the outboard normally. Proper break-in helps ensure maximum performance, reduced wear, and long-term engine reliability.
